Killing Off The Planet

9. Time

Whilst time is the property of the universe, yet it must be possible to notion time prior to the universe, even if there was nothing, because existence was in the future and nothing lasted for a period, as there was no now, because it is only existence that recognises now, the present. This means that existence modified time by imposing the present as an arbiter between future and past. The problem is that now or the present is seen as a stable notion of stoppage: a stationary notion midway between the two constantly moving notions of time, future and past. Time does not stop so how can now stop time? It therefore follows that modified time is a reality by now imposing itself on time. Existence cannot exist in the future or the past; one element is yet to arrive whilst the element of past has gone; consequently all the apparent relationships in time rely on the future to become the past.

Modified time is very difficult to explain because the all-important time of existence, now, is difficult to justify. The following is the justification for now. Future constantly moves toward the past, yet man is on the earth constantly moving toward the future; when future meets past at the same point of earth moving forward is now. It follows that constant enables finite management of time. What can never be forgotten is that existence is a time parasite on the back of two static notions, future/past. Turn to Part B, Chapter "The Enhancement of Now" for further detail about time.
