Killing Off The Planet

7. Relationship, Consequence and Value

In this analysis the human being is chosen as the investigated existence and now is the timing of the study. We are left with how? and why? again. The reason for choosing the human being is because he is unique in reasoning and the source of reasoning on the only planet to contain it. The reason is that if we understand the basis of unique complexity it is just a matter of discounting to review simpler, slower forms of existence. The whole point to the human is the brain in that its development is commensurate with the rest of the being, therefore the relationship between being and brain is well founded. In order to look at how reasoning is derived, a look at the creation of being is equally a look at the creation of the brain.

The human being begins with how?. The relationship, the coming together of the opposite sexes in a stimulating and creatory act that may stand up on its own right, because it is stimulating and only subsequently may or may not (note imperfect) result in fertilisation. Fertilisation changes relationships from the how? and why? of relationship by creating consequences of the original act because of fertilisation, so that the developing foetus and subsequent birth and development of new reasoning capability is created. Therefore in birth or creation of a new reasoning capability is a shift from the how? of sex to later be overshadowed by predominantly why? values; this is largely because of the responsibilities created in developing the future human being. In other words there is relationship, consequence and value judgment to affect and effect the newly born reasoning power. Because of newly revised importance for the future, a big amended how?/why? combination, consequently it is little wonder that having justified himself with why?/because value, man gets involved to occasion such value to other relationships so that why? value becomes a pursuit as man uses it to justify himself.

There is nothing to stop him from justifying in any relationship; this is why the question why? and the answer because are predominant in reasoning. It is there to secure.

We must remember that an analysis of human is present now, yet we can overlay changing relationships both upon the past and the future in an attempt to build pictures of consequence that will be of value. The question becomes what happens if? and consequent answers of value. Such questioning is laced with big why?/ value, because we want to survive for as long as possible. We want to know how to encourage and nurture valuable relationships in a way that will secure as much as possible. If the earth and the beings on it are continually developing, has development stopped? Are we in a changing state? Will we become more complex and more mentally demanding of our environment? If so, and time is likely to last for ever, at what point will the development of man and his follow-on have used so much irreplaceable finity on the earth as to endanger the future of developed reasoning life?
