Killing Off The Planet

10 .The Future

In a previous chapter in this book was written that the future holds the answer to a lot of what happens if? questions in order to plan today to meet the future. What if questions, such as "what if the earth ends tomorrow? - goes on - for another 15 billion years - or goes on for ever?" - After all there is nothing likely to happen of natural origin. Questions are worthy of hypothesis to look for areas that are reasonable.

The human must prepare for tomorrow; he must try to ensure a reasonable life for his offspring and their offspring The reason is that tomorrow will present man with new problems; consequently if we can at least suppose what could happen we are some way toward planning to get the best of contingencies. Today, man makes much demand upon finite earth; it is difficult to see sustainable involvement with the earth's elements. Future is seen as the unsown seed of all things, therefore interruption or neglect of the power of the future could be very damaging to life and life's values.
